RAQs (Recently Asked Questions)

Q: How often would I receive a new Option1 trading recommendation?
Only a few times per month. Option1 does not believe in trading in and out of the market several times per day or week. We look for quality trades where the odds are in our favour.

How much time is involved in using Option1?
The absolute bare minimum is just a couple of minutes each time a new recommendation comes out. There are however daily updates to the system, so we do encourage people to log on for a couple of minutes every day and read the latest info. There is also plenty of optional training and education – so the more you want to learn, the more you will use the system.

Why do you focus on commodity and index options instead of stock options?
Mostly for reasons of liquidity and diversity. Many commodity and index options markets will trade in higher volumes so getting the price you want for a certain option is much easier. In terms of diversity, most stocks have a high correlation to one another (called systematic risk in the text books). Trading commodity and index options however allow you to look at markets with a lower correlation to one another. This is the key to reducing risk with diversification.

What are the differences in trading these markets over trading equity options?
Well all the definitions and concepts of options (puts, calls, strikes, time decay etc) are all the same be they for commodity futures options, index options or stock options. They are just better markets to trade for both newcomers and experienced traders alike.
